INSTRUCTION FOR AUTHORS

Deadlines

Abstract

Max. 250 words. Please input abstract into the conference system. It is possible to submit 1 abstract per conference fee (Paper or Poster).

Paper

Paper should be typed on B5 paper size, double spaced and Times New Roman 10pt font should be used, with 2.5 cm margins (for bottom with 3 cm) for the whole document on numbered pages. The maximum length of the paper is 10 pages. Format: MS Word 97 and newer (we do not accept papers in PDF format). Obligatory template can be downloaded here.

Please upload paper into the conference system. Programme committee reserves the right to change the classification of the paper (lectures / posters) or refuse it.

Author automatically gives a consent to use his paper in a journal Acta Metallurgica Slovaca which will be sent for indexing in the database Scopus (Elsevier) by uploading the paper to his registration.

Poster

Panel sizes: 1000 mm (width) × 2000 mm (height). The poster sessions will be held on Aug 7^th 2017. We ask authors to be at the posters on time. Please remove the poster after the poster session is finished. Full text can be published. Obligatory template is above.

Presentation

Length of presentation: 15 minutes incl. discussion. Format: PowerPoint (MS Office 2000 and newer) or Adobe Acrobat, font sizes 40, basic text app. 30, min. 20. File size max. 50 MB. Presentations should be clear, legible, so that texts, pictures, graphs, tables and equations were clearly visible from a distance.

Please name file of your presentation:
surname_conference_titleofpaper.* (the first 10 symbols of title) and upload it to the conference system.

Printed publication "Abstracts"

Before the conference, abstracts are processed into printed publication "Abstracts”. This publication you will receive at the conference. This publication contains only abstracts, no full texts of papers.

Publication of the papers

After the conference, papers, which are included in the review process, are processed into a journal Acta Metallurgica Slovaca which is indexed in a Scopus (Elsevier) database with quartile ranking Q2.

Criteria for inclusion of a paper in a journal:
scientific paper focused on the topic of the session and processed in the desired format according to the template, paid conference fee and presentation of the paper at the conference.

As part of the review process, authors may be asked to remove flaws. Reviewer prompts the author to correct the paper max. twice. If the author fails to deliver the corrected paper, or if the corrected paper does not meet the required criteria, the program committee reserves the right to reject the paper.
